- Can anyone point me to a telnet/termcap combination that actually work
- with winsock (i.e. makes it possible to use emacs or vi). The telnets I
- have found so far seem to be pretty bad when it comes to vt100 emulation?
-
- Sorry if this is old news, but I am new to this bboard and I have not
- been able to locate a FAQ.
-
- Thanks,
- Tom

- It states in the Daytona release file that it will have incompatibilities with
- Mosaic in particular and possibly other Win32s apps. I've asked this same
- question, so if anyone else has gotten it to run please let me know as well.

- Also make sure that you don't have an interrupt conflict with COM2. COM2 and
- COM4 share IRQ3 by default. Most internal modems and serial cards can be
- configured for another IRQ, hopefully another one not in use!
-
- Another problem I have had from time to time with high speed modems is getting
- them to "train" properly. You might try looking at some of the more
- arcane settings for you modem regading the V.32 protocol. There is ussually a
- selection to 'connect at any speed' and a setting for 'auto-reliable mode.'
- These should be set on.
